Kikkerland Design Company opened its flagship store - the Kikkerland Shop NYC in the fall of 2013 on Sixth Avenue and 12th Street. The shop evokes excitement with innovative displays to house its full range of designed goods that are carefully developed and chosen for the Kikkerland brand.
Jan Habraken, a Dutch designer, was hired to create an artful retail space made of movable table displays and pegboard walls to display Kikkerland’s 1500 items in the 1000 square foot space. He made references to Andy Warhol by covering the sales counter with tomato soup cans and installed a red ladder that goes nowhere in the center of the store.

Over the years the Kikkerland shop has hosted many store events, the purpose - to connect with students and those in our community. Students at PS 41 created Halloween masks to display in the store’s window. Students from Parsons and Pratt exhibited their works for class design competitions as well as products from student Design Challenges Kikkerland sponsored in South Korea, China, and Mexico and the UK.
The Kikkerland Shop has been named one of the best gift shops in New York City by Time Out New York and New York magazine.
