Kikkerland’s New Spring Catalog

January 4, 2013 - 12:11 pm

Welcome to Kikkerland Design’s Spring 2013 catalog. As ever, we are grateful for the designer’s work and your support that make the Kikkerland collection fresh and intriguing.

At Kikkerland we are not only concerned about the here and the now. Instead we endlessly study and invest, to try to figure out what is new and next. Producing products by looking into the future is a good way challenge oneself in a way that is really daunting. In spite of our Dutch accountants reminding us that ‘This is not a good way to run a business;’ we do it any way.

This year we had the honor to work with one of the most celebrated graphic designers in the United States, Milton Glaser. Best known for his I ♥ NY logo, Bob Dylan poster and the founder of New York Magazine. Milton designed three clocks that consist of a variation of rotating disks that reveal time in a pleasing graphical way. His philosophy is that ‘False starts, wrong roads, and missed turns are part of every adventure. The miraculous is to be found or made in the searching itself.”

New from the workshop of tinkerer David Dear is a solar powered ‘Standing’ RainbowMaker. This device can sit in a windowsill and can be rotated to catch direct sunlight. The genuine Swarovski crystal moves in a new clock-wise direction and produces an amazing swirling spectrum of colors around your room.

The newly formed design studio FormNation headed by Jan Habraken combines common sensewith wisdom and applies this to real time products that people need. Seems the way to go.Spiders hanging from dental floss, bird foot back scratchers, soft solar leaves emitting light or ballpoints that massage your temples, pourquoi pas?

Bike bell designer, Anne Legroulx created 4 new desk bells, each one of them with a different purpose: a service bell ‘A Table’, Reset Button, Panic Button and a Welcome Bell. Diana Paisis made new Blok Crayons and a contact lens case that looks like hipster eye glasses. Chris Collicott, the creator of Stack the Bones game of physical and mental skill, now makes Stack the Carrots and Stack the Goldfish games. Sebastian Errazuriz just got married and intimately created: Tea for Two, an optical illusion pair of ceramic tea cups.

We invite you to open your eyes, sharpen your brains and widen your cultural veins. Please enjoy this catalog and do not forget to smile.

Looking forward to seeing you in the future.

Hi, I am having trouble accessing the Wholesale department via your website link. My name is Ceci Salaveria and I would love to sell your window rainbow makers online at my website, http://www.imagyneer.com.

I recently purchased one at a bookstore in Williamsburg, Virginia and the whole family loves it! My business at Imagyneer (an anagram for “I AM Energy”)is devoted to reminding others of the power of their positive thoughts- their power to create with the “I AM Energy.” I create my own designs and unique quotes. My logo is an atom with a rainbow heart in the center and the rainbow is significant for so many reasons.

So far, I sell only T shirts, but I am expanding soon with caps and other products. Please think about allowing me to sell this beautiful product on my site. Thank you in advance for your consideration and have a nice day.

Sincerely,

Ceci Salaveria
